The downside is that most of the information from the old build has been replaced. “The results are obvious: the missions are more balanced, the RPG progression is smoother, the game runs smoother and all facets are more polished. “We could use the time to rest, or we could use it to create some additional content and sell it to you as DLC, but we decided to go back to the version that was going to be released and work on it.”
“The production realities of the game have meant that the ‘launch’ version had to be finalized shortly before publication,” explained the game’s executive producer, Martin Klima, on the Resetera forum. At the moment we have not been able to test the Xbox One version to see if the case is the same. The release day patch is 28.7GB in size on the PlayStation 4 version.
